John Lennon was murdered in front of the Dakota on this date, 29 years ago. Still sad about it and am surprised at how often I think about it, about him, my favorite Beatle, and about my idea of New York as a place where even the most famous people can be anonymous and unperturbed if they want to be, most of the time.
This album cover features the bloodied glasses that John Lennon wore that December evening.
